International Service encompasses actions taken to expand Rotary's humanitarian reach around the globe and to promote world understanding and peace.  Larger projects require funding support from the Rotary District or the Rotary Foundation, but many are within the means of the local club.  The Pacaembu project is a good example of how a locally funded project - a high school-level student exchange with Brazil - led to the identification of several needs in the community which sent the student to us.
