Announcements
Pres. Tom: There is a new owner of The Works who has changed the pricing arrangement we had.  The Program Chair (Frank R this year) will still send a heads-up email to the member responsible for breakfast offering to make arrangements for bagels if the member replies.  But if the member doesn't wish to pick up bagels the morning of the breakfast, they are free to make their own arrangement with e.g. Market Basket's bakery and bill the club - or not, as the spirit moves them ... The District Training Assembly is being held at York Community College on - wait for it - April 6th!  It's designed for club officers moving into leadership positions on July 1st.  Of all that's happening that Saturday, this may well be a priority for those affected.

Will: The Grants Committee has forwarded a list of grants totaling $6,360.  Pres. Tom offered the proposal for approval which he received.  The grants include $500 for the walk in support of Out of Darkness, $500 for Marina's Miles, $200 for End 68 Hours of Hunger - Oyster River Chapter, $2,000 for high school scholarships, $1,200 for The Rotary Foundation, $1,000 for Polio Plus, $700 for HS sophomores attending Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp, $150 for Friends of Hyder House hospice, and $60 for Girl Scouts ... Donations are coming in for the 4th of July Celebration; not ready to report yet on sponsor responses to the letter.

Bill: Bluebird houses are for sale for $15 or 2 for $25.  We will have them at the Home Show, and Rich W will have them at his print shop ... The Bill Wilson Fund stands at $71K ... Bill also shared an interesting story about three uncles and an aunt who served in WW II.

Andy: We're staffed on Bingo through May.

Russ: Attended the President-elect Training Seminar last weekend.  The incoming presidents of the Dover and Portsmouth clubs expressed an interest in joining with us for projects and social events this coming year.

Anon: Ashley has gotten a promotion and may be moving north, but Yvonne from the Newmarket branch of her bank has shown an interest in joining us.

Is it the truth?  Is it fair to all concerned?  Will it build good will and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
