Doug Bencks and Bryn Burns came to chat with us from the Durham Community Church Steeple Restoration Team. The church was built in 1849. It has been and still is a important community center for town. 1923 the build was expanded to help the UNH community with learning and meeting space. DCC is working hard this year and next on a bunch of renovation and reconstruction projects.
Announcements
Community Connection Event - We are creating a joint committee with ORCR to finalize the merger of the event with them. We have some non-profits committed already. We are hoping to use ORCR registration system for volunteers.
No RYLA or Rotaract updates at this time.
SummerFest Committee has been meeting and we are working with Durham Rec to merge our event with them for Durham Day.
We are registering with NH Gives, if a member is willing to be the point person for this, please reach out to Alexx.
Will is looking in a Main St. grant for SummerFest/Community Connections.
