Announcements
Pres. Tom: Needed two more members for the UNH football game on Saturday; still short for the last two games as well; will send an email for signups... We're invited to do a food concession at the upcoming hockey games for $300/game (approved by the club after some discussion). We'll want to open this up for our Rotaract folks who are looking to raise funds ... Tom will be on vacation for three weeks beginning Nov 1st.
Bill: We'll start collecting for holiday basket turkeys at meetings soon. St Thomas More food pantry will be doing about 100 Thanksgiving baskets again this year (some part of that will be our turkeys), and the other food pantries in Durham, Lee and Newmarket will be looking for about 200 turkeys for Christmas. The Charitable Fund will match members' donations.
Andy: He's been exploring the grant world and learned that we are eligible for a Donor Advised Fund grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Trust. He'll drive on that.
Anon: 26 other clubs in the district are providing some level of financial support to Friends Forever located here in Durham.
Anon: Newmarket has applied for scholarships for a trip to the Model UN coming up.
