Plus Manchester, Franklin Peirce LawSchool In Concord, Granite State College, Keene State College and Plymouth State University

UNH started at Dartmouth, 1866 “Land Grant school from Morrill Grant”, after the civil war.  Moved to Durham in 1893, 1923 became UNH Durham.  Started with Thompson Farm donation.

UNH Durham was used training for WWI and WWII.

UNH Durham is comprised of many schools COSA, COLA, CEPS, CHAS, Paul College Business, Carsey School Public Policy, EOS, Marine Science, and FP Law 

UNH is R1 University - Research University.

UNH extension going out to the NH communities to get the word out.

• Backyard Bash - Went well.  It was moved to Monday from Friday.

• Citizen of The Year - Alexx is working the location.

  • Flag Hill has a number of Thursday dates available. Rough pricing for 50 people buffet is $2,750 with alcohol being paid for separately. Thoughts? We have budgeted $2,500 but could offset with dinner contributions from club members? 

  • Alternative option is Three Chimneys would be around $1800-2000 for 50 people. Alcohol separate 

  • Alternative option is Stone Church Newmarket around $1,000-$1,200 for 50 people. Alcohol separate 

• Membership-August is Rotary Membership Month!

    • George Wilson’s father was a rotarian from 1950-1985 and his mom would play piano for the club and they met at the restaurant where George was a chef!

    • Ian shared about his trip to RYLA (see photo!) and talking to the Kennebunkport rotary in 1994 (the year I was born)

    • Sarah shared her story and ended with “ Now that I’m a member I’m very proud to be part of something bigger that goes out of there way to help others locally or internationally.” which is so impactful!
