The Rotary Club of Durham-Greatbay with Lamprey Health Care and Newmarket Public Library will be installing a Little Free Library.

On October 26, 2022 Rotary President, Phil Albright and Club Treasurer, John Belcher attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for a Little Free Library at Lamprey Health Care in Newmarket. The library was donated and installed by the Rotary Club of Durham Great Bay and decorated by local artist Ellen Hopkins Fountain. Approximately 20 people attended and Lamprey Health Care CEO, Gregory White welcomed the guests prior to cutting the ribbon to officially open the library. The Friends of the Newmarket Public Library will support this early literacy initiative with ongoing book donations to keep the Little Free Library stocked with a variety of children’s titles. The Newmarket Public Library installed a StoryWalk of Jesse Bear What Will You Wear? By Nancy White Carlstrom around the perimeter of the garden to add to the enjoyment by families.
